Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern membership of the Association of Professors of Social Work (APSW). By registering for membership, you agree to these terms and to operate in accordance with the APSW Constitution.
Membership eligibility
Membership of APSW is intended for Professors engaged in social work research and social work education. APSW reserves the right to verify eligibility and approve or decline applications in line with its Constitution.
Membership categories and fees
Membership fees are determined by APSW in accordance with its Constitution and are typically agreed through the annual meeting and/or Executive Committee. Fees are payable annually.
Payments and renewals
- Payments are processed securely via third-party providers (e.g. Stripe)
- Memberships may renew annually where applicable
- Members are responsible for ensuring payment details are up to date
Membership status and termination
Membership is maintained through annual payment of fees. Membership will lapse automatically if fees are not paid by the required date, in accordance with the APSW Constitution.
Member responsibilities
Members agree to:
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information
- Engage with APSW activities in a professional and respectful manner
- Use APSW resources appropriately
Governance
APSW is governed by an Executive Committee in accordance with its Constitution, which oversees the management and development of the Association.
Access to activities and services
APSW provides access to activities, events and communications for members. These may evolve over time in line with the Association’s priorities.
Intellectual property
All APSW materials remain the property of APSW unless otherwise stated and may not be reproduced without permission.
Changes to terms
These Terms may be updated periodically. Continued membership constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.
